RM Auctions is honoured to announce its partnership with BMW Group Classic and Grandhotel Villa d’Este as the official auction house of the celebrated Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. RM is set to host its inaugural ‘Eccelenza e Belleza al Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este’ sale in Cernobbio, Italy on 22nd May, 2011. Held on the banks of Lake Como at the Spazio Villa Erba, the picturesque setting provides a perfect backdrop for the limited hand-picked selection of the world’s finest motor cars.

“RM prides itself on its standards for excellence and attention to detail,” said Max Girardo, Managing Director, RM Europe. “We are equally proud of the company in which we keep, including the joining of forces with BMW Classic to stage this idyllic weekend of automotive bliss.”

”We’ve been keen to integrate an auction into the event for some time now,” says Karl Baumer, President of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and Director of BMW Group Classic. “With its concept of putting fewer but higher-quality vehicles up for sale, RM Auctions underlines the essence of our Concorso. We’re looking forward to this new partnership.”

As a testament to its exclusivity, RM will host the Eccelenza e Belleza al Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event every other year beginning in 2011 and on an alternating basis with the company’s Sporting Classics of Monaco sale held during the same weekend as the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco.
