AUBURN, INDIANA (June 5, 2009) – Worldwide Auctioneers, responsible for the sale of some of the world’s finest vintage automobiles, will auction a significant selection of over 170 fine collector cars from the Old Car Heaven Museum, on June 19th and 20th, in Birmingham. Offered entirely without minimum or reserve, each car in the collection will find a new home with the highest bidder.

“The Old Car Heaven Museum Auction encompasses an eclectic assortment of automobiles from the early 1920’s to the late 1960’s”, said Rod Egan, Managing Partner and Chief Auctioneer. “Many are completely original and have been enjoyed from new, with little or no restorative work. Others have benefited from careful restoration.

There are many convertibles from all eras, as well as station wagons that are almost impossible to find in any condition today. We are pleased to be able to present a selection of cars that not only have such a nostalgic hold on people’s hearts but that also represent a solid investment in today’s uncertain financial markets”.

Highlights of the no reserve collection include an elegant 1957 Jaguar XK140 MC Drophead Coupe, 1940 Oldsmobile Series 60 Convertible, stately 1935 LaSalle Convertible Coupe, 1953 Alvis TA21 Tickford Drophead Coupe and 1961 Chrysler 300G Convertible.

The Old Car Heaven Museum Auction will take place on June 19th and 20th at the museum itself, in Birmingham. Admission is by catalogue, available for $25. Detailed information on admission, advance bidder registration and the full list of consignments may be obtained by visiting www.wwgauctions.com.
