Mr Draneas, This is just the beginning. Stay tuned. Gino Burelli
I was there at the 1960 Le Mans race and saw the Cunningingham Corvettes race, including the one which overheated and finished the race by pitting every several laps for a load of ice cubes dumped onto the top of the engine which cooled it enough to continue the race, altho at a reduced speed. I wrote and article, with photos, about the race which appeared in the August 1960 edition of Sports Car, the SCCA monthly magazine. There is a photo of the ice dumping included among my photos.
