Auction houses have begun to report sales from Arizona Auction Week, and the cumulative $270m total has already eclipsed last year’s record $253m. These numbers do not include post-block deals still in the works or sales figures from Russo and Steele or Silver Auctions.
Barrett-Jackson sold more than 1,611 vehicles, and total sales surpassed $130m. The most expensive car was the 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 “Super Snake,” sold at $5.1m. View Barrett-Jackson’s results here.
RM sales totaled $63.7m with 114 lots sold out of 127. A 1964 Ferrari 250 LM (pictured above) was the biggest lot of the sale — and of the entire week — at $9.6m. View RM’s results here.
Sales at Gooding & Company totaled $51.5m with 114 of 126 lots sold. A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider was the top sale at $7.7m. View Gooding’s results here.
Bonhams reported total sales of nearly $24.8m. Of 84 cars offered, 74 sold. A 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione coupe was Bonhams’ high sale at $9.4m. View Bonhams’ results here.
Russo and Steele has not provided a preliminary total, but they did report that a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster sold for $1,430,000.
