1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder

I drove all night and most of the next day,

This unique GTS/4 Daytona Spyder is that most mythical of beasts, a genuine one-owner-from-new Daytona Spyder. We know of just one other, a North American-specification model resident in the U.S.

Ferrari sold just 121 Daytona Spyders. Left-hand drive chassis number 15845-the car offered here-is one of just 25 built to European specification (seven of which were right-hand drive). This car is one of two sold to Germany. It was delivered finished in classic Rosso Chiaro featuring original black leather upholstery. A total of 52,000 kilometers is displayed on the odometer.

15845 was delivered new via German Ferrari importer Auto-Becker to its first and only owner. Some cosmetic refurbishment of stone chips is reported, but apart from that the paintwork remains original, as does the very presentable leather interior. The engine, never rebuilt, has been properly maintained. The car is presented in commensurately good condition today, having been owned by the same individual for its entire life and thus never exposed to the potential vicissitudes of numerous ownership changes.

Over the years, its owner has consistently rejected approaches from would-be purchasers, preferring to offer it today at auction. Although well known, this 365 GTS/4 has not been exhibited at the usual historic events, thus its new owner will be able to enjoy the privilege of showing it to an appreciative public for the first time.

15845 comes complete with original documentation, warranty card, brown leather owner’s wallet, instruction books, tool kit, duplicate keys, sundry service invoices and German registration papers.
