EVERGREEN, COLORADO (June 8, 2009) – Saab enthusiasts, like auto fanatics in general, really get excited over live auctions… especially when they feature rare and unique vintage Saabs. Just the thought makes the eyes widen, ears perk up, and the heart beat faster. So this year the central organizing committee for the 2009 national convention decided to feature a live car auction at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado.
For the first time in recent history, the North American Saab Owners Convention that runs from Aug 13 -16 will include the dedicated Live Car Auction in addition to parts, memorabilia, and the usual charity auction. Tom Nelson, long time RMSC member, Saab fanatic, and Chairman of the 1999 Keystone SOC, has graciously offered to head up the event. Many knowledgeable and distinguished Saab folk from all over the U.S. have been recruited to Tom’s Auction Committee. With the help of these aficionados, this auction will surely offer a display of “accessible” Saab history like no other!
In the Market? Approximately 15 – 20 superb examples of both vintage and classic Saabs are expected to be on the block. The Auction Committee will soon be preparing a catalog of consigned vehicles. For those “in the market”, what better opportunity could there be to acquire a high-quality and perhaps rare Saab model? Make plans now to attend SOC 2009 at Copper Mountain, Colorado. The Live Car Auction will be held on Friday night, August 14th. (See a selection of auction cars on the attached sheet).
Owners, Get ready for some serious bidding with hundreds of Saab loyalists from across North America, and beyond. Consignments are solicited for exceptionally clean and hard-to-find examples.
