John L. Stein

As an internationally known automotive journalist, John L. Stein has written about cars and motorcycles for over 40 years. He served as Editor of the award-winning Corvette Quarterly, GM’s official journal for Corvette.

John was one of the charter editors of Automobile Magazine and Road Test editor at Cycle, the world’s largest motorcycle magazine. He has written for Autoweek, Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Sports Car International, Chevy Outdoors, Truck Trend, American Car Collector, Sports Car Market, Vintage Motorsport, Motorcycle Classics, Classic Bike, Cycle World, Motorcycle.com, Classic Racer, Hagerty, Outside and Men’s Journal.

His articles have been published in the US, Canada, England, Japan, Australia and France. John has raced cars and motorcycles in the US and overseas, including at Daytona and Sebring.

He recently acquired the car of his childhood dreams, a fuel-injected split window Corvette. And when not writing or wrenching, he’s probably running 5k races.
