A 1951 Ferrari 340 America Barchetta that raced at Le Mans in 1951 and 1952 was the top sale at $8.4 million at RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale this past weekend.

All told, 83 of 114 car lots sold for a 72.8% sell-through rate.

The 1951 Ferrari 340 American Barchetta blew away the median price of $1.75 million in the Sports Car Market Pocket Price Guide, and the $8.4 million sale price is a new auction record.
