The classic car market is always on the move, and as interests change, so do values. So with that, here are three cars I’d recommend buying right now, and why:
1. 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra
This was the last year of the Fox body, and the first for SVT’s Cobra package. That makes it a one-year wonder, and one of the most desirable in the series. Next-gen collectors are starting to buy the cars they’ve always wanted, and that means that prices on halo Fox Mustangs like this will undoubtedly rise.

2. 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe
The Viper GTS coupe was an icon from the start, and the classic blue with white paint scheme has aged really well. Vipers give an analog supercar feel with plenty of modern convenience, which means you can drive one pretty much anywhere and still turn heads. Again, buyers are hunting the halo cars of the ’90s generation, and this one leads that pack.

3. 1987 Buick Grand National
The GN was a beacon of performance in the otherwise dismal 1980s American car scene, and its sinister all-black scheme helped foster its bad image. 1987 wasn’t the first year of the Grand National, but the cars gained an intercooler in 1986, and power peaked at 245 for ’87. The GNX may be the rarer Buick, but the GN has that same look, is easier to come by, and is nowhere near as expensive. Median values have moved up 6% in the last six months, and I think they’ll keep going up.
