The San Bernardino Convention & Visitors Bureau, in conjunction with the City of San Bernardino, established the Route 66 Rendezvous Cruisin’ Hall of Fame in 1995 to recognize and honor individuals and entities that made a significant contribution to the uniquely American automotive cultural phenomenon of cruising.
“Route 66 Plaza,” a landmark area established outside of City Hall, hosts the specially designated wall with a map of “America’s Main Street” which serves as a monument to Route 66 and the backdrop for the Cruisin’ Hall of Fame. The wall receives a plaque every year to identify the new members of the hall of fame.
The inductees will be honored at the Cruisin’ Hall of Fame Brunch & Induction Ceremony on Saturday, September 15, 2006. The details and location of the brunch and Induction ceremony will be released prior to the Rout 66 Rendezvous.
