Sports Car Market will host the first annual Scottsdale Insider’s Seminar on Thursday, January 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The seminar will take place inside the Gooding & Company auction tent.
SCM “Legal Files” columnist John Draneas will deliver the keynote presentation, titled “The Taxman and Your Collector Cars — How Do You Keep Them Apart?”
Keith Martin will lead a group of SCM experts in a panel discussion. The panelists will each share their opinion of what three key ingredients define a “blue chip collectible.” Then they will choose their own four-car blue-chip collection — but to make things interesting, their lists can include no Ferraris, Mercedes or Cobras! After the seminar, the panelists will offer detailed examinations of select cars to be offered at auction.
Panelists include: Carl Bomstead (American sports & muscle), Donald Osborne (European sports & racing, excluding Ferrari), Steve Serio (Ferraris and Late-model European exotics) and Simon Kidston (Simon’s choice).
Admission is $50 for two; $25 for subscribers; complimentary for SCM Platinum members and registered Gooding & Company bidders
