BLOOMINGTON, Illinois. – Bloomington Gold, Corvettes USA announced a joint venture along with Corvette’N America Tours based in Flagstaff, Arizona. The venture combines Bloomington Gold’s national reputation for quality events along with the specialized expertise of Dwayne and Cindy Bublitz. After watching their success and impeccable attention to detail, Bloomington Gold CEO, David Burroughs believed they would fit perfectly into the Bloomington Gold organization.
With a rich history beginning in 1973, Bloomington Gold is America’s longest running Corvette show, and it has become the industry’s premier event showcasing America’s favorite sports car. In 1984, Bloomington Gold introduced the concept of local Road Tours. Then in June of 1994, Bloomington Gold set the Guinness world record with a total of 2,223 Corvettes on a single road tour. That record still stands. In more recent years, Dwayne and Cindy Bublitz began their private regional tours in Arizona and soon began attracting Corvette enthusiasts from across the country to experience the breath-taking scenery of the southwest.
Now, through its new affiliation with Dwayne and Cindy Bublitz, Bloomington Gold Tours can provide people the opportunity to drive their Corvettes through some of America’s most spectacular scenery, while at the same time enjoying Corvette camaraderie with owners from across the country. The expanded Bloomington Gold Tours will feature scenic trips to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Future trips will move from the southwest to the northwest, then to the southeast and finally to New England. Also, event trips will be planned to the major automotive events like the Indy 500, Carlisle, Mid America’s Funfest, and of course, Bloomington Gold.
