TULSA – Tickets are now available for the Tulsarama 2007 Buried Belvedere Unveiling. On June 15, 1957, a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere was lowered into the ground in downtown Tulsa as a part of a “time capsule” for Tulsarama 1957: a celebration of Oklahoma’s semi-centennial. In celebration of Oklahoma’s Centennial, the historic car will be unearthed and on display for the public at the Tulsa Convention Center on June 15, 2007 as a part of Tulsarama 2007.

At 6:30 p.m. on June 15, 2007, the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere will be unveiled for all the public to see. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. to this general admission ticketed event which will take place in the arena of the Tulsa Convention Center.
In addition to seeing the Belvedere for the first time in 50 years, the contents of the time capsule will be revealed as well as the items located in the glove compartment and trunk of the car.

Tickets for the unveiling may be purchased by visiting the box office at the Tulsa Convention Center or going to www.carsonattractions.com. Tickets are $5 for upper level seating and $10 for lower level seating. A $10 ticket also allows admission into the Invitational Auto Show, which will be held June 15-17 in the Convention Center.

The Buried Belvedere will be unearthed at noon on Friday, June 15, 2007 and transported to the arena of the Tulsa Convention Center for the 6:30 unveiling. Limited viewing is available at the unearthing.
