Lotus in the Rain
Got fresh tires on the Elise, thank you Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo and Kelly Brown. Wendie and I met up with John Draneas in his Lotus, our iPad app Team Lead Michael Cottam in his ’91 Esprit, EMG’s Andrea Allen in the SCM Boxster S, and CM contributor Michael Pierce who didn’t drive his 67 427/435 C2 convertible, but instead showed up in his cushy Mercedes E350. Tasting at Willakenzie (the 2007s not very impressive) and micro-winery Linne’ (the 2008s terrific but pricey at $45).
Corvette Swap Meet in Puyallup
Spent the day walking between intake manifolds and custom exhaust systems at the Corvette and High Performance Swap Meet in Puyallup, WA. Bradley was along and came home with two fists full of just slightly used Hot Wheels. Swap meets continue to evolve towards being social events rather than parts swapping opportunities, as so much of the business continues to move on-line.
