In 2011, the Glenmoor Gathering will present another field of outstanding automobiles and motorcycles. Featured classes will be “Avant Garde: Early Front-Wheel Drive,” “Sixteen Cylinder Motorcars,” “The Automobiles of Darrin” and a display of Ghia-designed automobiles.

The Front-Wheel Drive Class will include examples of the legendary Cord, Ruxton, Citroen Traction Avant, and Miller race car. “The Automobiles of Darrin” will include a group of 1938-42 Packard Darrin automobiles.

The 2011 Gathering will also feature a display of vintage British motorcycles as well as the usual great show field of American and European classic automobiles.

A special bonus of the 2011 Gathering weekend will be a Classic Car Club of America Grand Classic, which will be held on Saturday, sponsored by the Ohio Region of the CCCA. Many of those cars will also be on display during Sunday’s concours.

The 2011 honorary chairman is Steve Moskowitz, executive director of the Antique Automobile Club of America. Headquartered in Hershey, Pennsylvania, it is the largest antique automobile organization in the world. Chosen as the 2011 poster artist is Charles Maher of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, a past president of the National Automotive Artists Association and a member of the Automotive Fine Art Society.

During the 2011 concours automotive art by a variety of artists will be displayed and on sale and several automotive authors will be signing their books.

The 2011 weekend activities will include the Passport Transport Countryside Tour, an automotive restoration seminar with Fay Butler, cocktail party and Gala Dinner, cooking demonstrations, a Junior Judges’ program and other family activities.
