BARRINGTON, Ill. – The Chicagoland area’s premiere Concours d’Elegance will be held Sept. 14 to Sept. 16, 2007, in Barrington, Ill.

The Barrington Concours d’Elegance: Legends & Legacies celebrates automotive history and will feature 100 of the world’s finest and most rare historic, classic, sports, and performance racing cars. All proceeds from the three-day event will benefit Barrington Hills Conservation Trust, Cowboy Dreams of Illinois and Hospice of Northeastern Illinois. The founding sponsors of Barrington Concours are Motor Werks of Barrington and the event host, Makray Memorial Golf Club.

“By launching our Concours in the beautiful Barrington countryside, we hope to establish a tradition of celebrating rare and beautiful cars in Chicagoland,” said Mary Bradford-White, an event organizer and president of Barrington Hills Conservation Trust. “Just like established shows such as Pebble Beach, the Barrington Concours will be a juried event that attracts car owners from around the world.”

Bradford-White said that the Barrington Concours is unique in that all monies raised will be used to support the three not-for-profit organizations.

Automobiles scheduled to exhibit at the Barrington Concours include:

* 1936 Auburn Type 852 Boattail Speedster Convertible
* 1939 Delahaye 135 M by Figoni & Falashci
* 1939 Bugatti type 57C, drop head convertible
* 1907 Wolf, one of only two in existence
