*Monterey, CA* Russo and Steele is proud to present the newly added preview charity reception kicking off their “Sports and Muscle in Monterey” collector automobile auction. Festivities will include hors d’ouevres, cocktails and live entertainment starting at 6:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2006, and is complimentary to all registered bidders. Proceeds will benefit the Monterey Youth Museum (called “My Museum”), which is located on the world famous Cannery Row. “My Museum” is a 2,700 square foot building packed with hands-on exhibits and a unique and exciting environment that appeals to all who visit.
The preview charity reception will exhibit 150 of the finest in European
sports, American muscle, hot rods and customs to be offered for auction the following two evenings. In addition there will be an exciting silent auction, and live music from local artists. Russo and Steele invites registered bidders to be their guests at this V.I.P. event, which will take place in the two-story preview display area, located one-half block south of the Monterey Marriott on Calle Principal. Additionally, Russo and Steele is offering half price bidder’s registration through August 4th at www.russoandsteele.com.
Russo and Steele’s /“Sports and Muscle in Monterey” /collector automobile auction will take place on August 18th and 19th at the Marriott Hotel at 350 Calle Principal in downtown Monterey. Russo and Steele has become one of the highlight events on the Monterey Peninsula in August. This will be Russo and Steele’s 6th consecutive appearance at the world’s premier vintage automobile gathering.
Some of the featured Russo and Steele automobiles are a 1967 full competition Shelby Cobra, a 1956 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, a 1967 Trans Am Mustang race car, as well as several significant Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Shelby automobiles.
