February 8, 2010 – The Dana Point Concours d’Elegance announced today that Dave Kunz and Donald Osborne will co-emcee the 28th annual event on June 27, 2010.
Dave Kunz is a 20-year-plus veteran of ABC7, and became the Eyewitness News automotive reporter in February, 2001. In addition to his duties as a photographer and editor, his on-camera work makes ABC7 the only station in Southern California with a dedicated reporter covering automobiles and related topics. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Kunz always gravitated toward the Southern California car culture that was all around him. Eventually he was able to merge his career in television with his passion for things with wheels and bring them to Eyewitness News viewers. Kunz is a member of both the Motor Press Guild and the Society of Automotive Historians.
Donald Osborne is a classic car appraiser, consultant and writer. A contributing editor of Sports Car Market magazine, he reports regularly on auctions, and has written the “Etceterini” column, covering all types of automobiles from the turn of the 20th century to contemporary. Osborne’s writing on collector cars has also appeared in The New York Times, BusinessWeek Online, Road & Track, Art & Antiques and in the books “Keith Martin on Collecting Alfa Romeo” and “Keith Martin’s Guide to Car Collecting.” In more than 30 years of collecting Osborne has bought and sold more than 40 vintage automobiles. He is a member of the Vintage Sports Car Club of America, Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club, Zagato Car Club, Ferrari Club of America and Lamborghini Club of America and American Lancia Club, serving as editor of Lanciana, the club magazine.
The 28th Annual Dana Point Concours d’EleganceTM will take place on Sunday, June 27, 2010 on the Monarch Beach Golf Links at the St. Regis resort in Dana Point, California. This year’s event will feature 100 years of Alfa Romeo and celebrate 80 years of design from Pininfarina.
