Auburn, IN – July 28, 2010 — The Auctions America by RM team has been enjoying an extremely busy month since the entity’s formation was first announced on July 1 with the purchase of the 235-acre Auburn Auction Park and its intent to hold a sale of up to 1,500 collector cars at the facility over the Labor Day weekend.
Backed by the world’s leading classic car auction house, the excitement and good will for Auctions America by RM and its inaugural Auburn Fall Collector Car Auction weekend has been overwhelming. Quality consignments are being booked on a daily basis with Auctions America well on the way to filling its Labor Day weekend’s roster of automobiles, with an emphasis on American classics, Detroit muscle, customs and hot rods. The diverse lineup of 475 motor cars already consigned spans from a classic 1932 Ford Five-Window Coupe to a like-new 2008 Ferrari F430.
“Based on the impressive volume of enthusiastic inquiries we regularly receive, we anticipate Auctions America’s upcoming Labor Day sale will be a huge success with clients secure in the knowledge that the auction will be conducted in a highly professional manner,” said Ed Cepuran, Chief Financial Officer, Auctions America by RM.
“Given the history of our new location, we appreciate the fact that we need to boost the confidence of both buyers and sellers in the auction process at Auctions America’s inaugural event. To that end, we have proactively set up client accounts with Comerica bank to provide prompt payment within five business days of the purchasers’ payment clearing our bank account,” Cepuran added.
The Labor Day weekend’s event participants will benefit from a budgeted $1.5 million of much-needed renovations and upgrades to the Auburn facility and grounds, which are on track for completion by September 1 and include new asphalt for the extensive parking lots and, repairs and painting of the numerous buildings.
“The Auctions America team is looking forward to welcoming enthusiasts from far and wide to Auburn this September,” said Donnie Gould, President, Auctions America by RM. “We’re proud to be elevating the Auburn Auction Park to a world-class stage for the collector car hobby.”
