Canton, OH — Following its highly successful sale in Akron last August, Classic Motorcar Auctions will be hosting the first-ever classic car auction at the 2010 Glenmoor Gathering.

The Glenmoor Gathering, now in its sixteenth year, has become one of the top concours events in America. This year the show will feature “The Historic Motorcars of Cleveland,” including classic manufacturers such as Templar, Chandler, and Jordan as well as electric auto manufacturers Rauch & Land and Baker.

Vehicles consigned to the auction range from pre-war classics including a 1909 Buick Model 10, a 1931 Ford Model A Woody, a 1932 Chevrolet BA Deluxe Confederate cabriolet to mid-century American classics such as a 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne, a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis, a 1958 Ford F-100 Fireman’s Panel truck, and a 1955 Lincoln Capri convertible. Not to be forgotten, a select number of muscle cars will also be auctioned as well as some specialty foreign cars including a 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster and 1928 Riley Nine. For a complete up-to-date listing of all vehicles consigned please visit the ‘Inventory’ tab at www.classicmotorcarauctions.com.

Classic car market conditions have improved over the past several months. In many ways classic automobiles parallel market trends for tangible investments such as precious metals, art, and antiques. The likelihood of further inflation as our country rebounds from the recession ensures that collector car values will continue to rise.

Additionally the auction will offer a large assortment of automobilia to open the sale that day. Expect to find your favorites including tin signs, toys, petroliania, antique gas pumps and the like.

For information on how to bid on either the classic cars or memorabilia please visit www.classicmotorcarauctions.com to download the necessary form or call Classic Motorcar Auctions toll free at 1.866.653.8900.

The Grande Salon Antique and Classic Car Auction will open to the public Saturday at 9am for preview with the auction beginning at noon. Spectator admission will be $10 for Saturday’s sale only or $25 for both the auction Saturday and concours Sunday. Valet parking will be available on sight, follow signage.
