It’s not as if I needed an excuse to spend more time looking at and thinking about online auctions. Every day I get notifications popping up on my phone informing me about new listings for all the various models I am tracking.
Now there is another way to keep up with online auctions on a daily basis, a newsletter called The Daily Vroom. It provides a snapshot of the overall online market, with a chart listing the number of sales by the most active sites. It also covers some of the highest-priced recent sales and makes suggestions of auctions that might be bargains.
This is a quick, entertaining read and a perfect overview of what’s happening in the fast-paced world of online sales. Best of all, it is free to read online or sign up to have delivered in your inbox each morning.
I find it a good complement to our own coverage of the collector car market. Each issue of Sports Car Market magazine provides a deep dive into the most important collector car auction sales, both in-person auctions as we’ve done for 37 years, and a newly expanded section on Bring a Trailer and other online sites. In addition to our monthly printed and digital issues, we also provide a weekly newsletter.
