Gooding & Company has added yet another huge Alfa Romeo to its Pebble Beach Auction — a 1933 8C 2300 Monza with period race history and a long, unbroken ownership history.
Only 39 of these cars were made, and this car carries an estimate of $12 million to $15 million.
Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auction is scheduled for August 20-21 at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center.
A 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe at $1,540,000 was high sale at RM Sotheby’s July 30 Motor City sale.
All told, the sale brought $6.4 million, with an 80-percent sell-through rate.
